Recruiting never stops in college basketball, any coach will tell you.
But there are cycles. Recruits in the 2023 class finished their final base seasons in July and can sign LOIs on November 9.
So as these prospects approach the hiring finish line, employees are paying more attention to the next wave.

Even in the age of the NCAA transfer gate, men’s coach Marquette Shaka Smart called himself “old school” in his preference for recruiting talent outside of high school and developing players over several seasons in college.
Below is a list of the players in the 2024 and 2025 categories that caught MU’s attention. Recruitment is always smooth, with interest fading and waning on both sides, so names will be added or deleted.

Isaiah Abraham (6 foot 7 forward; Paul VI High School, Virginia, AAU acquisition team)
Abraham received an offer from the Golden Eagles in June. His father Faisal played at MU from 1993-1997. Abraham received a large number of offers thanks to his versatile game. he is Stockrisers said in July That “I can use my height to protect any position on the court. I can get rid of open shots and also create shots for myself far from dribbling.
Luke Bamgboye (6-10 centers; Mount Carmel High School, Maryland; AAU thrill team)
The mobile megaman moved to the United States from London a few years ago. Bamgboye helped lead Team Thrill to the U16 Under Armor title in July with 247 Sports Referring to his ability to strike fast and pull rebounding balls. He landed MU Show, along with several others, on June 15.
James Brown (6-10 forward; St. Rita High School, Illinois, Mainstreets, Al Ain University)
Brown would be one of the best recruits in the class, already getting offers from heavyweight schools like Duke, Indiana, Michigan and North Carolina. He is part of a loaded roster of Saint Rita team members. The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Brown did it “A volume ready for college, coordination, and mobility.” It was shown by MU on June 15.
Somtochukwu Cyril (6-11 centers; Hamilton Heights High School, Tennessee; AAU elite amateur basketball club)
Cyril profiles as the college’s elite edge protector and would be a desirable recruit. He drove the Adidas 3SSB in blocks this summer. He got an offer from MU in June.
Jack Dougherty (6-7 forward, Brookfield Central High School, Phenom University-Team Herro AAU)
He averaged 13 points and seven rebounds last season to help Team Lancer reach the WIAA Division 1 state title game. MU was one of several schools To call Dougherty on June 15
Brice Dorch (6-7 forward; Bremer and MaySchool, MA; AAU crowd)
Dorch High School plays on the New England Preparatory School Athletic Board, a strong league that has produced MU players Tyler Kollek and Chase Ross. MU was one of several schools that reached out to Dortch in June.
Donovan Freeman (6-8 forward, St. John High School, District of Columbia, AAU acquisition team)
Freeman was born in the Bahamas, but moved to the metropolitan area when he was 6 years old. Georgetown offered him a scholarship when he was in eighth grade. Freeman received an offer from MU on June 15.
Will Hornseth (6-8 forward, De Pere High School, Wisconsin Blizzard, AAU)
The sleek Hornseth has the potential to be one of the state’s top prospects in the classroom. MU contacted him in June.
Nojus Indrusaitis (6-6 rangers; St. Rita High School, Illinois; Mainstreets Street, Al Ain University)
A gentle archer, Indrusaitis landed a MU show on the same day with fellow high school and grassroots fellow James Brown. Androcytes Tell Rivals about MU: “I love Big East. They have a great team and a great coaching staff. They talk to me personally and I love the atmosphere there too.”
Nick Janowski (6-4 guards; Peukee High School; Venom University – Herro AAU team)
Janowski visited Marquette Madness last October and got a scholarship in no time. Help the sniper Pewki Winning back-to-back WIAA state titles.
Iverson King (Wing 6-5; Forsyth Country Day High School, North Carolina; AAU Curry Team)
King seems a little under the radar. But several schools, including MU, reached out in June with the tilt wing.
Con Knebel (6-5 rangers; Wisconsin Lutheran High School; Venom University – Team Herro AAU)
Golden Eagles showed great interest in the local bowler. Knueppel was MU’s first scholarship offer for class of 2024 in June 2021. But there will be plenty of competition for a player who can score as efficiently as Knueppel.
Drew McKenna (6-6 forward; Glenelg Country School, MD; Milo AAU team)
McKenna is starting to become a hot name in the fertile recruiting ground for the DC-Maryland-Virginia region. MU offered him a scholarship in June and many Big East and Big Ten schools have done the same.
Damarius Owens (6-7 forward, Western Reserve Academy, Ohio, City Rocks, AUA)
MU made a bid for Owens in June, but the Rochester, New York native, has been upfront about how much that means to him. To be recruited by Syracuse.
Rakease Passmore (6-6 strikers; Combine Academy, North Carolina; Garner Road AAU)
Being a very Pasmore-sized sports suite will attract some attention, and it has attracted the attention of schools like MU, Louisiana, Providence and Virginia.
Calvin Robins Jr. (6-5 forward, Kenwood Academy, Illinois, MacIrvine Fire AAU)
Robins has several mid-range shows, but after showcasing explosive sports over the summer, he’s attracted interest in bigger shows like MU.
Core Teng (6-4 guards; Bradford Christian Academy, MA, Mass Rivals AAU)
Teng played at the age of 17 in the adidas 3SSB Finals last month and helped lead his team to the title with a volley in the textbooks. It is not surprising that it has already been contacted by many large programs.
Duane Thompson (6-6 forward; Putnam Academy of Sciences, Connecticut; Expressions Elite AAU)
Thompson plays in one of the best prep schools in the country. A strong performance at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, July’s biggest popular event, should boost his profile even more.
Keyshaun Tillery (6-1 guard; Albany Academy, NY; City Rocks AAU)
The Taylor star is rising after a breakout second season at the Albany Academy as he averaged 22.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.4 steals per game.
Caden Wilkins (Wing 6-7; Bettendorf High School, Iowa; Iowa Barnstormers AAU)
Wilkins plays on the same AAU program that produced MU goalkeeper Emarion Ellis. DJ Cartoon, a former Golden Eagles guard, also attended Bettendorf High School. MU joined the states of Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska as schools that showed interest in Wilkins.

Doral Brooks (6-2 guard; Grand Rapids Catholic Central, Michigan, AAU family)
Brooks looks like a typical goalkeeper who distributes the ball and plays a good defense. Michigan State and Michigan State have already offered him a scholarship.
Davion Hannah (6-5 guards; Nicolette High School; Mac Irvin Fire AAU)
After an outstanding freshman season at the Milwaukee Academy of Sciences, Hannah transfers to Nicolette. MU offered him a scholarship in August. Wisconsin and Oregon are among the other schools that have offered.
Chris Noley (6-7 forward; Bishop Gorman High School, Nevada; Vegas Elite AAU)
The super-athlete Nwuli can dive admirably, but coaches love the way he can switch defensively.
Kay Rogers (6-10 centers; Wauwatosa West High School; Wisconsin AAU Stadium)
Rogers averaged 10.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as a new player for Tosa West, and his profile is flying like a rocket. Among the schools that have already offered him scholarships are the University of Wisconsin, Texas, and Illinois. Rogers will visit MU In early August.
Galen Roger Rowan (6-5 guards; Sedwill Friends, District of Columbia; Durant’s AAU team)
MU was the first NCAA Division 1 school to offer the Rougier-Roane Scholarship. After showing off his ability to finish around the edge and also drop shots at the Peach Jam in July, he’ll get more attention.
Joseon Sanon (6-5 goalkeeper, Vermont Academy, amateur basketball club in Boston, AAU)
Sanon received an offer from MU in June, shortly after showing off his versatility at the NEPSAC Show.
